The discovery of written directions
I always include both written directions and charts in my patterns whenever possible even if mostly I’m a chart person. I know that there are many knitters that prefer written directions. I’m a visual learner and I find charts very intuitive and not error prone as written directions. Until I’ve started working on the sample of a sideway cardigan (which I plan to run a mystery KAL). I actually prefer to work from the written directions. They are strict forward and I don’t have to mentally convert symbols when working on a WS row.
