Summer of Love is a simple to knit and easy to wear shawl. The instructions have been written so that you can tailor them to suit: there’s a lace section and a garter stitch section, and they can be repeated and combined in any order. You can make it as-is or make it bigger, smaller, rearranging the lace sections, add colors…

Have fun designing your own! It is reversible, too!

• MC: 395 m / 430 yds, including 10% allowance

• CC: 325 m / 355 yds, including 10% allowance

NEEDLES

3.75 mm / US 5 circular needle of length 60 cm / 24″ or longer; adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

NOTIONS

GAUGE

20 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in garter stitch, blocked.

20 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4″ in Lace Stitch, blocked.

Gauge is not critical but affects the finished measurement and yardage.
