Briki is a simple pullover for kids with kangaroo pockets. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. The shaped neckline and short collar is comfortable to wear and functional to keep warm. It is a good project to use up those not quite a sweater’s worth of yarn.

Measurements are given in both centimeters and inches.

NEEDLES

4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle, 80 cm / 32 inches or longer; adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

4.5 mm / US 7 needles in your preferred style for small circumference knitting in the round

3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle of length 40 cm / 16 inches (for neckband)

NOTIONS

1 removable marker or scrap yarn; 4 stitch markers; crochet hook (for provisional cast-on); safety pin; yarn needle; waste yarn

GAUGE

18 sts and 26 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch on larger needle, blocked.
