Top Down Hat is a hat designed to fit smoothly at the top, without any protruding parts that raise above your head. It is worked in the round from the top down, making it easy to try it on and adjust the fit. It features a double thickness brim.
It comes in 4 sizes, designed to fit from babies to adults. Measurements are given in both cm and inches. This pattern comes with video tutorials.

Sport + fingering = Light worsted weight
If you use a single strand of light worsted weight yarn, you will need approximately 115 (140, 170, 180) m / 125 (150, 185, 195) yds, inclusive of 10% allowance.

Gauge
18 sts and 28 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in Stockinette stitch on larger needle worked in the round, blocked.

Size XS (S, M, L) designed to fit head circumference about 47 (50, 55, 59) cm / 18.5 (19.75, 21.75, 23.25) inches.
Finished measurements
Circumference (unstretched): 40 (43.5, 48, 51) cm / 15.75 (17.25, 19, 20) inches.
Total length from crown to hem (with 1 cm / 0.5 inch hem folded): 22 (24.5, 27.5, 27.5) cm / 8.75 (9.75, 10.75, 10.75) inches.
